How to Shop For a Mattress

Friday, 29 August 2008 01:57 by robertkgaudet

If you are shopping for a mattress at your local store, then there is one thing that you have to do before you get that mattress, and that is to try it out. They say that the best way to try a mattress is to lay down on it for about 15 minutes. See how it feels, and see if you start to get very stiff while laying on that bed. Pay attention if you have to keep shifting your weight around or if you feel a lot of pressure on certain parts of your body. If you can not lay on it for 15 minutes without having to move around to get comfortable, then how are you going to sleep on this mattress every night for 8 hours or more for the next 10 years? It is just not going to happen. Buying a mattress online is a good idea, because it gets shipped to your house. However, they suggest going around and trying some mattresses first before you choose to go ahead and buy online.

Living With a Worn Out Mattress

Friday, 29 August 2008 01:51 by robertkgaudet

They say that most people in the world are living with mattresses that are worn out. Over years of use, your mattress is going to start to break down; that is just a fact. The best solution is to go out and get a new mattress, but let's face it, not all of us can afford to go out and get a new mattress every time one of the mattresses starts to show signs of aging. The good news is that you can do a few things that could help you get the most out of your mattress before it finally does bite the dust. The best thing that you can do is to flip the mattress over. Doing this will actually get the sag out of a sagging bed. However, keep in mind this is just a quick fix. This is nothing that is going to last forever. The more you flip it, the less amount of time that trick is going to work for. Soon you will notice that you have to flip your mattress every night to keep the sag out of it. If that is the case, then yes, you need a new mattress!

Things to Watch Out For When Getting a Mattress

Friday, 29 August 2008 01:47 by robertkgaudet

When it comes time to buy your new mattress, how do you know when you are getting a good deal and when you are getting ripped off? Well, people are always looking for the lowest priced mattress, but when it comes to mattresses, a lot of times you get what you pay for. A few things that you should look for is to make sure that you get a mattress with at least 390 coils (if you get a coil mattress). Not only that, but you may want to stay away from mattresses that are under $800 when they are at least a queen size or bigger. Any mattress that falls below these two standers, you can bet that the mattress is going to be kind of weak and may not last that long. Now, there are always exceptions to the rules, but they are very far and few between. Keep that in mind while you are out looking for mattresses so that you do not get ripped off.
